Four choices before you can compare a price

A single Apple Watch model exists in two case sizes, more than one case material, with or without cellular, and with a long list of bands. Every combination is a separate listing at a separate price, and those prices do not move together.

Until all four are fixed, "is this a good price" has no answer. A shop showing the smaller aluminium GPS model will always look cheaper than one showing the larger stainless cellular version of nominally the same watch.

Cellular has a cost after the purchase

The cellular version carries a hardware premium and then a monthly charge from your network to keep the watch connected. That ongoing cost rarely appears in anyone's comparison and only makes sense if you genuinely leave your phone behind.

The range keeps a cheaper line and older generations
