Sofa listings usually quote the smallest size in the least expensive fabric. Change the size, the fabric grade, the leg finish or the configuration and the price moves substantially — and every one of those is a separate choice made after you have already anchored on the headline.
Delivery here is a real number
Two-person delivery, delivery to a room of your choice, unpacking, and removal of your old sofa are charged separately by most retailers at rates that differ widely. On a mid-priced sofa those together frequently exceed the gap between shops.
Measure the route, not just the room
The commonest expensive mistake in this category is a sofa that fits the room and not the stairwell. Measure doorways, turns and stair widths before you buy, and check whether the retailer will take it back if it will not go in.
